Blood Donations

Posted by Rayside Balfour Minor Hockey Association at Apr 30, 2018 1:27PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

The Azilda Community Blood Donor Clinic is fast approaching and we need the help of our community partners to help collect the blood we need for hospital patients. Over the past year, the Azilda clinic has been struggling and we still have 38 appointments to fill for the May 7th blood donor clinic at the Dr. Edgar Leclair Community Centre. I’m attaching a poster, which I would ask you to please print and post it in a high traffic area to help create awareness about the need for blood donors in Azilda/Chelmsford. Please also encourage your co-workers, family and friends to donate blood to help collect the blood we need for patients like Chase
Check out his story.

Please let me know if you are interested in organizing a group donation for your staff, which is an excellent team building exercise. We can reserve spots for your group and even arrange for transportation to and from the clinic. I am also available to deliver a presentation to your staff about the need for blood in our community and alleviate some of the misconceptions about blood donation.

Here are some links to help with your group’s experience and to ensure each member has the information they need to be able to successfully donate:

Congratulations to Rayside-Balfour Major Midget Tigercats for winning the silver medal at the NOHA Tournament of Championships held in Coniston this past weekend.
Great game which took 22 minutes of sudden death overtime for a winner to be declared. Final score was 4-3.
